Overview

Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP is seeking two Associates to join our growing Tax Controversy & Litigation practice in the Toronto office. We are seeking one associate with one to three years of relevant experience and another associate with four to six years of relevant experience.

Blakes is one of Canada’s largest law firms and has one of the leading and most successful tax practices in the country. Our Tax Controversy & Litigation group is fully integrated into our larger tax practice.

We represent clients in all types of Canadian federal and provincial tax controversies, at all stages of the disputes process. This includes acting in sensitive tax audits, administrative appeals, alternative dispute resolution procedures, negotiations with Canadian tax and finance authorities, and in litigation before the courts.

Members of the Blakes Tax Controversy & Litigation practice regularly work on precedent setting cases and matters of first impression before the courts and tax authorities. We are consistently recognized as leading lawyers in the field.

Our specialized national team has extensive and recent experience in cutting-edge tax issues, including transfer pricing and other cross-border matters, the GAAR and specific anti-avoidance provisions, and the scope of tax audit powers.
