Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) is seeking an Associate with four to six years of relevant experience to join our top-ranked Corporate group in the Vancouver office.
Blakes is widely regarded as the market leader for both corporate and commercial matters and M&A transactions, acting as trusted advisors in negotiated deals for leading businesses in Canada and across the globe. Our Corporate group supports clients at every stage of their lifecycle, ranging from startups and growth-stage companies to some of Canada’s largest corporations, providing advice on structuring, corporate governance, reorganizations, complex commercial agreements, and transformative joint venture initiatives. In addition, our practice is deeply involved in M&A work, advising on private, cross-border, and private equity transactions for a diverse client base, including major domestic and international companies, financial institutions, and private equity funds, as well as owner-operators and family-owned businesses navigating acquisitions, divestitures, and transitions of ownership.
Our team includes specialists with experience and insight into every key industry sector in Canada. We promote cross-office collaboration and foster a multidisciplinary approach to ensure that we understand our clients’ multifaceted operations and can tailor our legal advice to align with their business objectives.
Our lawyers regularly work alongside U.S. and international law firms and advisors, assisting clients with complex legal issues that are specific to Canadian operations or international in scope and that extend into Canada, including challenging M&A matters.
