Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide firmwide document production and technical support using advanced Microsoft Office skills, ensuring compliance with Firm Standards
- Create, revise, and format complex legal documents using multiple methods including conversions, copy typing, transcription, and dictation
- Clean, troubleshoot, and repair documents while applying advanced numbering formatting and comparison techniques
- Convert, manipulate, and manage PDFs, including redaction, bookmarking, hyperlinking, form creation, and document compilation
- Produce and format PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, tables, indexes, graphs and organizational charts
- Support collaboration by responding to document-related inquiries, training others, and working via screen sharing in Microsoft Teams
- Track and manage incoming work using the ServiceNow system and assist with additional projects as required
- Minimum of three years of experience in document production in a legal environment
- Microsoft Office Specialist certification in Word, PowerPoint and Excel is preferred
- Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Kofax Power PDF, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Workshare Compare, Litera Compare and BigHand Digital Dictation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the initiative and ability to identify alternative solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanour and strong customer-service skills
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced working knowledge of NetDocuments
- Ability to coordinate incoming requests and prioritize work effectively
The expected compensation range for the Document Specialist position is $70,000 – $80,000. The following factors will be taken into consideration when assessing compensation: experience, education, job-related skills, and office location, among other factors.
