Student Committee

Our Student Committee is responsible for the recruitment, development and evaluation of all Blakes students in Calgary. All members of the Calgary Student Committee are heavily involved in student life in our office through mentoring, conducting and overseeing training, and planning and attending social events. The Student Committee also acts as a resource if students have challenges, concerns or issues.

Applications for 2026 1L Summer Position will be accepted between January 21 – 28, 2026. All applications should include a cover letter, résumé, undergraduate transcripts and all available law school marks. 

If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted via email between 12 - 3pm MST on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. All interviews will be conducted between Tuesday, February 17 - Friday, February 20, 2026. Offers of employment will be made on Friday, February 20 at 4pm MST in accordance with recruitment rules.
